I have really come to terms with the fact that I am not seeking to paint beautiful pictures. If beauty is rendered in my art then it is joy. However, if it is not all prettiness and beauty then let it be thought provoking. I wish for energizing work full of texture, movement and wild color. I do not wish to replicate life as would a photograph, there are photographers that hold that art in its highest form. I wish to dance in the possibilities of what could be and what we might see through the lens of a contented imagination. Let me mix it up oh Lord and be contented with the gifts you have given me. ~ Dar

About Dar Frost ~
Dar has had a heart for the Arts from an early age. She studied art throughout her school years but she developed her strong desire to paint while studying Theatre Crafts at Rio Hondo college beginning in Scenic Painting. Later Darlene attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles where she was certified in Interior Design. While there she rekindled her love for drawing, a strong emphasis in her discipline, as well as painting. She soon began to take art classes in drawing and painting with various teachers throughout Los Angeles to develop the techniques that she applies to her perspective.
Darlene worked as an Architectural Interior Designer which encompassed Construction, Remodeling, Furniture Design, Presentation, Rendering and Drawing.
